The two-dimensional solar system, not a computer system or some other analysis systems, but the "true" solar system, is falling from three-dimensional space to two-dimensional space.
This scene is from a Chinese science fiction named Three Body III: Dead End. (刘慈欣大神的作品《三体3:死神永生》)
And I love this trilogy, the Past of Earth. (地球往事三部曲/三体三部曲)
In the novel, the Earth, the all solar system and almost all human beings died from the dimension reduction (one of the attack ways in wars of stars). This scene is so breathtaking and magnificent (of course the death of human civilization is soooo sad too), that I can't help to draw this out. (Although it's hard for me to show the really breathtaking death.)
In the picture, the shining stars on the top is the stars of Galaxy. The paper-like plane surface is the two-dimensional space, the weapon that can draw anything (except things with the speed of light) in three-dimensional space into two-dimensional space. The planets from above to bottom are Neptune, Saturn, Earth and Mercury, they are in the two-dimensional space and all died already (remaining planets are on the other side of sun, and forgive me that I forgot our moon ), then the huge blood-red one is the Sun (which is falling and dying now), and the nearby three-dimensional Uranus and Pluto.
